Every Word A Promise!
"Deep in your hearts you know that every
promise of the Lord your God has come
true. Not a single one has failed!"
Joshua 23: 14
Every book of the Bible has a distinctive and
unique purpose. Many times you can find
a
key verse that drives this
home.
For example, the purpose of the book of Revelation
is stated right at the beginning of the book: “To show
His servants, things which must shortly take
place”
(Revelation 1:1).
In the book of Joshua, the underlying purpose and theme is
stated
near the end of the book in Joshua 23:14: And you know in all
your
hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all
the
good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you.
All
have come to pass for you; not one word of them has
failed.
How important! Whatever you’re facing today, God has filled His Word
with promises. He made promises to ancient Israel about giving them
a homeland, guiding them by His presence, providing their needs, and
bringing them into the territory He had promised to Abraham and
the
patriarchs.
Not one promise failed. Nor will God’s
promises to you. You can trust Him
with everything
today.
"I’ve trusted, and tested, and
tried it, and I know God’s
promise is true."
