Best Way To Fail!
But Jesus said to the disciples,
“I have food to eat of which you do not know.”
Therefore the disciples said to one another,
“Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?”
John 4: 32-33
You're navigating by a map and a compass in mountainous
territory. You must choose which way to go, which route is
the quickest and safest.
Would you rather make that decision alone, or would you
rather make it in the presence of someone who can put
you back on the correct path if you choose unwisely?
The ideal way to fail in life is to fail in the presence of someone
who knows better, but who's kind and patient enough to give you
encouragement along with correction. Three years Jesus
spent
with His disciples is an example of failing in the presence of a
wise Teacher.
The disciples failed to grasp what Jesus was doing or saying
many times, but He continued to reinforce the Truth in
their
presence until they understood. God is the same with
us,
patient and understanding.
Instead of fearing failure and God’s reaction,
the best place to fail is while walking close to Him.
It’s the quickest way to get back on the right path.
"Faith is demonstrated by Christians
who refuse to accept failure as final."
