The story of Christmas is confined to four chapters
of the Bible—Matthew 1 and 2, and Luke 1 and 2.
Right?
Wrong. The story of Christmas fills up all 1,189 chapters of
Scripture, because the entire Bible is a story of the eternal,
infinite, loving, holy Creator-God who became an actual Man
in order to die for us, save us, and give us access to Himself
and to His heaven.
“This is the message that at the proper time
God gave to the world” (1 Timothy 2:6, TLB).
Of all the mysteries of time and space, this is the deepest,
the sweetest, and the richest. We can experience it, enjoy
it, celebrate it, and live in its joy.
But we can never fully fathom the heights of its wonder,
the width of its inclusion, the depths of its impregnability,
or the length of its duration. We can only say, “Hallelujah!”
God grant you the light, which is faith; the warmth,
which is love; the radiance, which is purity; the
righteousness, which is justice; the belief,
which is truth; the all, which is Christ.
