Ready, But Not Yet!
"But now we do not yet see all
things put under him. But we
see Jesus."
Hebrews 2: 8-9
God’s Kingdom advances in stages. When Jesus came the
first time, He provided what is needed for His
ultimate victory.
He ushered in the first stage of His Kingdom—redemption for
you and me.
But things will not reach their ultimate and concluding stage until He
returns. Hebrews 10:12-13 says, “But this Man, after He had
offered
one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,
from
that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.”
His Kingdom is already here, but not yet in its ultimate form. One day
every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.
One day all evil will be banished, all problems will be resolved, all
prayers answered, and all things will be righted and righteous.
Until then, walk by faith. We celebrate knowing we will ultimately
experience victory in our spiritual warfare. It’s already won, and
we can live in triumphant optimism
today.
"If there 's anyone who ought to live with a positive confidence in
this world, it is the child of God…. A very real joy, pleasure, and
glory are coming, and they are wrapped up in the “blessed hope”
of Jesus’ appearance."
