How To Quack The Case!
"Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
and uphold me by Your generous Spirit."
Psalm 51: 12
A water pipe in Gloucestershire, England, was
blocked. Engineers sent in a robotic camera and
found a duck waddling along. They had expected
debris or trash, but it was a duck which they
extracted and rescued.
Sometimes the spiritual channels in our lives
become blocked. We quench the Holy Spirit,
and the flow of His joy is blocked by some
sin that is waddling through our heart.
We’re to be joyful people, but when we lose our
joy, the problem may well be an obstacle in the
pipeline of grace. It doesn’t mean we lost
our
salvation; we’ve lost the joy of our salvation.
Our way of extracting the blockage is confessing
our sin. Unconfessed sin quenches the joy of our
salvation. When we confess our sin and ask God
for His forgiveness, we receive forgiveness. God
also restores to us the joy of our salvation.
If you have sin that hasn’t been dealt with,
ask God today to forgive you and restore
to you the joy that comes by His Spirit as
evidence of your salvation.
"Confession is a means to humble the
soul…. Gives vent to a troubled heart….
Endears Christ to the
soul."
Thomas Watson
