How To Shake Things Up!
"On that day his feet will stand on
the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem.
And the Mount of Olives will split apart."
Zechariah 14: 4
A woman named Emma Burke wrote about the
1906 San Francisco earthquake: “It was 5:13 a.m.,
and my husband had arisen and lit the gas stove.
The shock came and hurled my bed against the
opposite wall. The shock was constantly
growing
heavier; rumbles, crackling noises, and falling
objects already commenced the din.”
Sudden earthquakes are fearful, shocking events.
The Bible teaches when the feet of Jesus descend
to the Mount of Olives at the Second Coming,
an
earthquake splits open the ridge, producing great
topological changes to Jerusalem and Israel.
When Christ appears, He shakes
things up.
In the similar way, when Jesus comes into
our lives, we tremble and are
transformed.
He unleashes the hidden rivers of the Holy
Spirit in our hearts, He makes old habits fall
away, and He raises up new territories of
praises for Himself.
Let the Lord shake you up for His glory!
"Sometimes your medicine bottle has on it,
'SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING.' This is
what God has to do with some of His people.
Shake them well before they are ever usable."
Vance Havner
