Our Worthy Guide!
"If the blind leads the blind,
both will fall into a ditch."
Matthew 15: 14
On December 27, 1862, Union officer David Stuart
offered to guide a group of soldiers who offloaded
from the Mississippi River in Louisiana. Sadly,
Stuart got lost, and the soldiers were fired on
by their own men.
One mustn't trust a guide unless he knows exactly
where he's going and how he's getting there.
Before
we can demonstrate God’s love to others, we must
know Him and His wonderful message.
When we know Jesus Christ and are growing in our
relationship with Him, He becomes our Guide as we
guide others. We recognize we are
His workmanship,
created to do good works.
Ephesians 2:10 uses that very phrase to describe
us “His workmanship.” Other translations say we're
His “handiwork,” His “masterpiece,” His “creation”.
Praise God for the mercy He has
lavished on
you and the value He has given you. Then tell
someone else how valuable they are to Christ
as well. Let’s be guides who lead others to the
Savior.
"Leaders are meant to help
others
become the people God created
them to be."
