No Second Chances Here!
"In the same hour there was a great
earthquake,
and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven
thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid
and gave glory to the God of heaven."
Revelation 11: 13
Apostle Peter observed a way of thinking common among
most people. When confronted with the truth about the end
of the age, people would say, “All things continue as they
were from the beginning of creation” (2 Peter 3:4).
In
other words, because life continues uninterrupted,
we tend to think it goes on that way forever. Such is
not the case.
When describing two witnesses who will testify during
Tribulation period, Apostle John saw a severe
earthquake
happening in Jerusalem and kills seven thousand people.
He saw them as terrified and giving “glory to the God of
heaven.”
But their fear was not a reverential fear of the Lord, rather
it was a fear of death. He gave no indication the
disruption
in their lives prompted them to turn to God and secure their
salvation. Instead, their fear of death only hardened their
hearts further.
After death comes the judgment (Hebrews 9:27).
Don’t miss the chance to secure your eternal
destiny through faith in Christ.
"As death leaves us,
so judgment will find
us."
