Deliver Us All!
“Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking
in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and
the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
Daniel 3: 25
Their faith was so strong and their bond with one another and with
God so unassailable, and the three young Hebrews didn’t back down
when confronted. They told Nebuchadnezzar, who was so enraged by
their actions: “We have no
need to answer you in this matter. Our God
whom we serve is able to
deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and
He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to
you, O king, that we do not serve your
gods” (Daniel 3:16-18).
This reminds us of Paul’s words: “Yes, we had the sentence
of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but
in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a
death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still
deliver us” (2 Corinthians 1:9-10).
There is a Fourth Man who will come and be
with us through any fiery test we face. He
can, has, does, and will deliver us!
