You're With Him Forever!
"And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again and receive you to Myself;
that where I am, there you may be also."
John 14:3
All human mothers (and fathers, too!) live for nine months
with an anticipation, expectation, and excitement of meeting
the newest member of their family. (Elephant mothers wait
18 to 22 months!) They stare at ultrasound images, prepare
the nursery, wonder who the baby will look like. All
that
anticipation is fulfilled on the day the baby arrives.
While childbirth is an exciting event, it pales in comparison to
anticipation a Christian has about finally meeting Jesus
Christ
face to face. We've read about Him, prayed to Him, committed
our hopes and desires to Him, sought to obey and follow Him
faithfully—we have done everything except see Him! But
the
apostle John says that day is coming: “When He is revealed,
we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is” (1 John
3:2). Not only will we meet Jesus, but we will also be like Him
(Romans 8:29).
On your most challenging days,
remember that a glorious day is coming. You'll
meet Jesus in person and be with Him forever.
